Floods and mild weather were the topic towards the end of 2015, how to manage worming programmes will be the topic for spring 2016 when infestations of worms are likely to be high. We are coming up to the time of year when as a horse owner, you need to treat fortapeworms. Historically, tapeworms were considered to be a benign incidental finding and of relatively little importance to a horse.Nowadays however, due to the recent discovery of their strong association with some forms of colic, we are standing up and taking notice of their presence. Tapeworms are gradually being given the centre stage they deserve when it comes to considering an effective equine worming regime.
